In this room, your toddler is starting to do things on their own. They will be learning how to sit in chairs, feed themselves, and wash their hands after meals and diaper changes. Also in this classroom, we begin to have a structured schedule and curriculum time. Bailey’s Learning Academy has a curriculum designed especially for toddlers. The curriculum introduces shapes, colors, nursery rhymes, and identifying body parts. And depending upon your child, it is also time to start thinking about tossing out the old passy, binky, or poppy. When you feel that your child is ready, inform the teacher and we will help you get started. The supplies you will need to bring include diapers and wipes, a change of clothes, and a small size pillow and blanket for nap time. These items will be kept in your child’s locker. You will also receive a toddler Grams Via Procare to inform you of your child’s day and if any supplies are needed.
In our two-year-old rooms, we will be starting potty training with your child. So if you feel your child is ready, please let the teacher know and we can work together to accomplish this. Please always make sure they have an extra pair of clothes in case of any accidents. Also, we are doing away with the sippy cups in these rooms. The children will learn how to drink out of their cups, as well as use forks and spoons. Bailey’s Learning Academy has a curriculum designed especially for two-year-olds. The curriculum introduces numbers, colors, and positional concepts as well as problem-solving. The supplies you will need to bring include diapers/pull-ups and wipes, a change of clothes, and a small size pillow and blanket for nap time.
